Meet Mrs. Gable, Hillsdale’s New PK–6 Guidance Counselor

The Kendal Gable family

JEROMESVILLE, Ohio — Hillsdale Local Schools is pleased to welcome Mrs. Kendal Gable as the district's new PK-6 Guidance Counselor.

Mrs. Gable, originally from Texas, received her B.S. and M.Ed from Sam Houston State University and brings three years of experience in education, most recently serving as an elementary teacher.

She is excited to join Hillsdale, sharing that its “family-like atmosphere creates a desire for staff to stay and for families to come, regardless of if they live in the district or not.” She looks forward to being part of that supportive environment as she works with students and families.

She and her husband, Daniel, live in West Salem, Ohio, with their two children and three dogs and 22 chickens.

Along with her commitment to education and enjoying time with her family, Mrs. Gable admits to being obsessed with Christmas and being an animal lover.

Away from school, she likes to read, craft and de-stress at the gym.

Others describe her as inspirational, and she is also a self-proclaimed “die-hard Swiftie,” finding inspiration in Taylor Swift’s advice: “Just be yourself. There is no one better.”

Hillsdale looks forward to the positive impact she will bring to the #FALCONflock, helping them take flight by finding their own unique strengths!
